FUSION for ALL school

General training on magnetic confinement fusion with the aim of explaining fusion “with your hands”.

Training objective

The aim of this school is to give an overview of magnetic confinement fusion, to present the issues involved, and to explain the different systems and operation of an ITER-type fusion facility (tokamak).

This training is divided between :

• visits to fusionlaboratories and facilities (WEST tokamak and ITER).
• lectures given by researchers and experts in the field (at the Cadarache Castle),

All aspects of fusion are covered: energy issues, how a fusion facility works, the different systems, the players involved in fusion and start-ups.

Training fee

The training fee is €2,650 (incl. VAT) and includes :

• lectures
• laboratory visits
• transport for visits
• coffee breaks, lunch at the Cadarache Castle’s restaurant, welcome evening and debate evening..
