Japanese ITER-like divertor components ready for the first WEST campaign   

Three divertor components procured by the ITER Japanese Domestic Agency arrived at Cadarache on October the 18th. These Tungsten monoblock Plasma Facing Units (PFU) will be exposed to tokamak plasmas during the first WEST campaign. Before being mounted on the test sector together with ITER-like PFU procured by ASIPP in China, they have been subjected to a reception procedure based on infrared thermography test at IRFM and high heat flux test at Garching.



Mr Ezato and Mr Hirayama from QST participating with IRFM team to test of the ITER-like components before their mounting on WEST divertor sector.
